Parents
Information For Presby Preschool Parents
We love our parents! We understand how vital parent participation and involvement are for preschoolers to succeed at Presby Preschool. We work hard to build a positive relationship with the parents and guardians of each of our students and work as a team to prepare your child for kindergarten and beyond as they attend Presby.
Classroom Visits
Parents, grandparents, and other family members are welcome to visit their child’s classroom, as we are comfortable and accustomed to regular visitors throughout the day.
All visitors must have completed a background check before visiting or volunteering in the classroom or serving as a volunteer on class field trips.
Please contact your child’s teacher to arrange a time to visit or volunteer. On the day of your visit, you can stop at the church’s welcome center area to sign in and receive your visitor’s badge. Church staff will notify your child’s classroom teacher that you have arrived and a staff member will meet you and direct you to your child’s class.
Parent Volunteers
We couldn’t do what we do without our wonderful parent, grandparent, and other adult family member volunteers! We welcome our volunteers and love the chance to partner with our students’ families to create a healthy classroom environment.
Volunteers are a huge help to our teachers and staff in the classroom and children look forward to having their family members visit.
While volunteering, you can assist with classroom activities and have a chance to observe your child in a learning environment. You can also volunteer to assist on your child’s field trips.
Please note that siblings are not allowed to attend field trips.
Completing A Background Check
Please contact Presby Preschool’s office staff to complete your volunteer background check request form. There is no charge to complete your background check, but it does need to be completed before you visit.
Connect With Other Preschool Parents
Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s children’s ministry hosts a monthly picnic and play date for current preschool students and their families.
Parents are invited to stay for lunch after a morning of preschool or before an afternoon of preschool.
This monthly event provides a place for preschool parents to connect with others, relax, and receive support and encouragement. We hope you’ll join us to connect over a light lunch each month.
Making New Friends
Children have an opportunity to connect with friends and meet new friends from other classes during this monthly playdate.
Meeting Schedule
Please follow Presby Preschool on Facebook to stay up to date with the latest meeting times for this monthly play date gathering. You can also visit our Calendar page.
